Hawk’s Saturday Selections – Queensland Oaks Day

June 1, 2013

The Queensland carnival always seems to reach its peak so quickly, and it is the same story this year. Who can believe we’re only a week away from the feature day of the carnival?

Yes, the carnival continues on for the next month, but the quality tends to drop slightly once the Stradbroke, Queensland Derby and Brisbane Cup are over.

Nevertheless, we’ve still got today’s Queensland Oaks meeting to concentrate on first.

Eagle Farm has come up a slow track, and I’m sure administrators will be hoping for no more rain after the fiasco that was BTC Cup day.

It looks a tricky day, but hopefully we’ve found a few winners.

Note: Technical issues prevented these being published before the first race. However, our tips for the first were available on Twitter – which I hope you didn’t follow, given Sir Moments won.
