The Hawk’s Oaks Day Selections

November 8, 2012

The third day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, Crown Oaks day, is here following Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup day.

The Melbourne Cup itself was a bit of an anticlimax, with a masterful Tommy Berry ride on Glencadam Gold ensuring any horse beyond midfield had no chance.

I’ll be writing a Melbourne Cup review tomorrow, once I’ve let the dust completely settle and I can take a more objective view of the race.

But first, we have Crown Oaks day ahead of us.

It’s a day which can throw up some surprise results, although the feature itself tends to suit favourites.

Hopefully, we can snag some value today!
