An intriguing postscript to my Prince of Prague story…

June 21, 2011

Earlier today I wrote about Prince of Prague, the horse in which my family used to be involved.

He was going for gold in today’s Wauchope Cup at Port Macquarie. Click here to read.

Also in that story, I talked of the other horse we used to own – a mare called Stella Command (by Commands out of Castellana).

Of course, despite the fact I was telling two different stories in that article, they had to intertwine.

Prince of Prague was beaten into second by what I would call a questionable ride – at the very least, he was unlucky.

But the horse that beat him was a mare named Civita (by Commands out of Castellana).

If you’ve read the article properly, you will have noticed the ironic and intriguing postscript.

Yes, my friends, Prince of Prague was beaten into second by Stella Command’s full sister.

The quinella paid $48.10 on NSW TAB.

If only I was smart…
