Bone of Contention nears Australian debut

June 14, 2011

One of Gai Waterhouse’s Kiwi acquisitions, Bone of Contention, is set to make his debut at Rosehill this weekend over 1400m.

I wrote about Bone of Contention some months ago, in mid January. Click here to read.

Since then, I’ve had a nice email from the owners – to correct what I said in January, he hasn’t been bought by Gai Waterhouse, the original owners still have the horse. However, they believe Gai can get the best out of the horse.

He comes to Australia with plenty of scope and I hope for the sake of the owners that he can continue to progress under Gai.
