Watch this: Seaflyte throws away Hawke’s Bay Gold Cup

April 25, 2011

Looking through the results for New Zealand racing on Saturday, I came across this little gem.

The Hawke’s Bay Gold Cup, run over 2200m, has lost some of its lustre in recent times but there is no doubt that the 2011 winner should have been a horse called Seaflyte.

He was being challenged down the outside but looked to have kicked sufficiently to win the race – that was, until the final 50 metres.

Take a look at this incredible footage from Hastings last Saturday (skip to 1:55 to see the final 300m).

He definitely didn’t want to win the race!

What a great web log. I spend hours on the net reading blogs, about tons of various subjects. I have to first of all give praise to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of demonstrative and upper-class content is by all odds super rare with the astronomic amount of blogs on the cyberspace.
